Hello! My name is Kristen Tomazic and I am a junior from the Freehold High School Delegation(Go Colonials!). This will be my third year in MUN, but my first as a Chair. I was also a first year delegate at CONA this past summer. I am beyond thrilled to serve General Assembly B at the 2023 conference and can’t wait to see what amazing resolutions pop up.
Outside of MUN, I dance competitively, take sports pictures for my school, and participate in Sports Medicine club. So if you like dancing, photography, or the Steelers, I can guarantee we will already be friends. I am also a writer for my school’s newspaper, run the photography subsection of my TSA, and am in a Medical Science program at my school. Also, though it’s not much of a party trick anywhere but here, I can name over 135 countries.
My advice for new delegates is to talk with some veteran MUN delegates and see what they do to be a successful debater, write insightful resolutions, and meet new people. Many of the experienced delegates came from a similar place to you and maybe didn’t know what they were doing. But now, they have been here and can help you grow as they did. As for the veteran MUN delegates, see what you can do to make this experience as memorable as possible, and try to go a step further than last year's conference. This could be when it comes to writing resolutions, talking within your committee, and even when making new friends.
I can’t wait to meet everyone inside and outside of my committee!
