World Health Organization
Hello, delegates! I am Michelle Wang, a senior from Dulaney High School in Maryland. I am so honored to serve as the chair of the World Health Organization. This will be my 4th year in MUN and I attended the 2020 in-person conference and the 2021 and 2022 virtual conferences. I am looking forward to meeting you all and making new connections. My goal is to make the conference fun and inclusive for everyone. One piece of advice I have is to take advantage of all the opportunities in front of you – such as taking the opportunity to work with others to write a resolution and participate in the MUN dance. MUN love is real, and I hope all of you get to experience that! My favorite Model UN memory was during the 2020 conference when the delegate from Guatemala and I passed our unfriendly amendment and absorbed the resolution written by six other delegates!
Outside of MUN, I am involved in my school’s Debate team, Key Club, Youth and Government, and horticulture club. I am also an editor for my school’s newspaper. One of my hobbies is taking care of my 40+ houseplants (my favorite plant is a tradescantia tricolor). Some fun facts about me are that I have a fraternal twin sister, I love thrifting, I collect fountain pens, and I was once snuck into a Las Vegas casino.
Don’t be afraid of using your voice; we are all here to learn and grow so no one’s going to judge you! I had an amazing experience as a delegate and I can’t wait to share that with you all! Get excited delegates, be prepared and have fun!
