NJ YAG Jr. Legislature

This specialized committee is for seventh (7th) or eight (8th) graders to allow younger students to experience the various aspects of the Y&G program. Students will meet during the Legislative Weekend and emulate different aspects of Conference, as well as experience the same debate and problem solving situations as their high school counterparts.  

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must be in seventh (7th) or eighth (8th) grade

• Learn and partake in the process of drafting and debating a bill

• Read and know the rules of Parliamentary Procedure

• Emulate the processes within specialized committees

• Uphold the Four Core Values while debating during sessions and all other Conference functions
